Gabriella is 1!

Gabby celebrated her 1st birthday. She actually opened her presents herself (for the most part). She enjoyed her cake, although she had eaten a full slice of pizza before desert, so she didn't finish it. She seemed to like her clothes and her toys, unfortunately most of the pieces to her Little People set have already disappeared thanks to her older siblings. All well, that's life for number 5.

Big Window

It is truly amazing how everything is coming together with the house. I am so excited and feel so blessed. The construction workers and tradesmen have been busy. The venting and duct work looks to be all done. The basic plumbing is finished. The electrical is supposed to be done tomorrow. Everything is moving super fast. It really looks and feels more like a house now.

Front Door

They have now put in most of the windows and the front and sliding glass door on the back. There is a big beautiful window that will go on the second story, but it sounded like they were dreading putting it in and so they have waited until the end.

They have already done the siding on the two sides you don't see in the pictures. I like this picture because you can see our bathtub forms in the garage. Our date has been pushed back to December 6 because of the snow storm last week. We hope that doesn't get pushed back any more.

Here are the latest. Our neighbor said they were working on the house yesterday. Our front door is sitting in the garage.

Happy Halloween!

Gideon's, Ben's, Emma's, Eliza's, Gabby/Dan's, Emma/Jenn's

Here are the kids all ready to go! Gideon and Ben dressed up as Ben-10 (Gideon is the younger Ben-10 and Ben is Ben-10 Alien Force). Gabby was Little Red Riding Hood (I was Halloweened out when I got to her costume). Eliza was a Pegasus/unicorn (her costume was given to us by friends in Rock Springs). Emma was princess Leia from Star Wars. We had fun going to the state museum and meeting Wyoming historical figures. We also went to Sam's (wasn't great) and trick or treating around our neighborhood here. Dan took the kids to trick or treat at the mall while Gabby took a much needed nap, but it was super crowded.

Here are this year's pumpkins.Back left is Gideon's. We carved it, but he wanted the pieces back in, so we call it the puzzle pumpkin. Back middle is Ben's. It has a small mouth and ears. Back right is the one Emma and I carved for Activity Days. I thought it looks like an old man. Her leader thought it looked like a Picasso pumpkin. Front left is Emma's. Middle is Eliza's and front middle is Gabby/Dan's. Dan carved Gabby's so the whole front of the face comes off. Emma, Ben and Eliza all carved theirs on their own.

Playing in the Snow

On Friday, Dan took the kids to play in the snow while Gabby and I went to a parent teacher conference. It was already starting to melt and since it got into the 50's yesterday, most of it is gone now. It is fun to enjoy for a little bit and then have it leave quickly.

Ben's Baptism

Yesterday, Ben was baptized at 11:00 am. In our stake, the eight year olds have their own baptism, so Ben was the only one baptized. Emma gave the talk on Baptism and did a very good job. Emma, Ben, Eliza and Gideon recited the 4th article of faith. I gave the talk on the Holy Ghost. Ben received his new set of scriptures. We also bought him some new church clothes for the occasion. Congrats Ben!
