Moving

I wanted to post a picture of the new house, but I have been having problems posting pictures and until I can take the time to figure things out I am going pictureless. Our house was supposed to close on Monday and we have been eagerly counting down, but they just couldn't get it finished in time. We were planning on going to California for Christmas and so we told the builder we would close when we got back and he was fine with that. We wanted to clear out of our apartment though before we went on vacation and so we got permission to move our stuff in the garage today. So we emptied our apartment and are in the process of cleaning it. We are going to leave for California early Monday morning and overnight in Las Vegas. Tuesday we are driving down to Anaheim for ac ouple night and to visit my former workplace the big D. then we will go stay with my Mom for several days and then head back home.

The house looks wonderful. They still need to clean it, but the countertops are in and they look really nice. The wood floor is beautiful and the carpet looks good too. Everything has really come together nice and it will be really nice to have everything new. Now all we have to worry about is all of the landscaping.

Gideon's Speech

We have been wanting to get Gideon's speech evaluated for a while now, but once we found out we were probably going to move we decided to wait. After a few months of going through the preliminary stuff, we had his 2 hour evaluation today and since he is below the 1% line for speech he is pretty much guaranteed speech therapy. It will probably start after the 1st of the year and it sounds like we will have someone come to our house once a week for a very long time since his speech is so bad. Hopefully we can get him speaking well before he starts kindergarten in the fall of 2011.

Walking Gabby

Gabriella started taking 4 or 5 steps a couple of months ago, but hasn't progressed too much until yesterday. She just stood up in the middle of the room and started walking. she took about 7 or 8 steps. She did it a few times so I was able to get it on video. She hasn't done much walking today, so we'll see how it goes. She definitely has her own time table.
