Yesterday they finished building the forms for the concrete walls of the basement. Today they were pouring the concrete. It was funny to see the big cement pouring crane they were using for our house, but I guess they use what works. We talked to the builder today and he thinks he can still get us in by Dec. 1st despite the setbacks we have had. We are so excited!

Ready to Pour!
We went by today and they had put of the forms for the basement. We are way excited. They are planning to start pouring the basement tomorrow. The builder had told us we would have a garden level basement, but we weren't sure we would after looking at the plans and the hole. After seeing where they put the windows though, it definitely looks like we will have one which will make the basement a lot nicer. I LOVE natural light, so it was a big thing for me. So exciting!

Our Footings
I haven't posted about the house this last week because nothing has been happening. When the diggers finished digging, they found some groundwater. It has been a pretty wet summer for Cheyenne, but since they found some water, the builder is installing a french drain and a sump pump. It will cost $1600 more, but we will only have to pay half. The builder will pick up the other half. Anyways it took them almost a week to figure things out and get approval from the city so they could pour the footings. They poured the footings on Friday and will hopefully pour the foundation next week.

We have a digger!
Sorry if you get tired of seeing updates on our house, but I can not wait to get out of this rental and into our house, so every little step is extremely exciting for me. Our rental is about 1300 square feet and after having a house twice that size with a yard, it has been hard adjusting to something much smaller and more awkward. All 5 kids are sharing one room and all of our furniture (except bedroom and dining room furniture) is stuffed into the front room. Anyways, we drove by the lot today and a digger/excavator was there. A couple of guys were also standing around and they said they were going to start digging tomorrow. Tomorrow we might have a hole!!
Eliza is 6!!
With moving I got a little behind blogging, but the day before the movers came, Eliza had her birthday!! She decorated her own cake and got some fun presents including: some little stuffed animals, dive sticks, and a Lego Indiana Jones set that has short round (her favorite character) in it. She seamed to enjoy her presents and her birthday.
