Students of the Month

The kids' school had their first student of the month assembly at the end of October. Each teacher chooses two students to receive a "Tribe" award (student of the month). We were surprised to find out that Emma, Ben, and Eliza were all chosen. Dan, Gideon, Gabby and I went to the assemblies to celebrate. We are so proud of them.

Eight is Great!!

Ben celebrated his birthday! He asked for an omnitrix (Ben 10) cake. Grandma Pam sent him a Lego Star Wars kit and he got some other presents too. He had a good birthday and is looking forward to his baptism.

I'm Dreaming of a White . . . Halloween?

A storm came in Tuesday Evening and is just now leaving. School got out two hours early on Wednesday. The kids were out Thursday and Friday for parent teacher conferences. We ended up with about a foot of snow. Let me tell you, after being cooped up in our small apartment for a couple of days, I am anticipating our house being completed even more.

Rafters on the Roof

The outside frame is completely up now, so I probably won't post too many more pictures of the outside until we have our siding and stuff up. We are excited and the completion date is supposed to be November 30th.

Frontier Days Museum

"In a pretty little surrey with the fringe on the top" We had to take a picture!!

Last weekend we went to the Frontier Days Museum in Cheyenne for a Halloween event. The kids got to talk to "ghosts" of western historical figures and find out more about them. We enjoyed the different activities they had and hopefully the kids learned a little too. They all loved getting their picture taken as a bull rider.

Roof time

We were so excited to go by the house today. It is looking more and more complete:)

Children's Village

There is a new Children's Village at the local Botanical Garden that we decided to check out. Gideon, Gabby and I had been to it, but the older kids wanted to see it so we went last Saturday.
The kids had a lot of fun exploring.
Here they are on the haystacks. They were not wanting their picture taken, so this was the best I got.
Eliza is checking out the Archimedes Screw. The kids had a lot of fun pumping water.

The kids LOVED the little ferry. We had to drag them away so other kids could have a turn.
